The faculty and staff of the Department of Chemistry has an impact on the educational experience of the students in the department. Illinois State University provides its faculty and staff with multiple resources that can assist them in creating educational environemnts that compete with some of the best univeristies in the country. These resources are placed at various locations around campus and hopefully offer the members of our department assistance in making their classrooms as effective as possible.
Full-time faculty that teach, conduct research, and participate in University and professional service.
Faculty members with predominantly teaching responsibilities and not under the tenure system.
Professional staff that manages Departmental offices, finances, stockrooms, technology, and instrumentation.
Retired faculty members, some of whom maintain a research presence in the Department or at other institutions.
Faculty members from other Departments that have certain privileges in the Department of Chemistry, such as the ability to supervise research students from Chemistry.
Research specialties of the Tenured and Tenure-Track Faculty members, grouped by subdiscipline.
Faculty have use of the CAS-IT Web Services, a facility that can help them with using technology for teaching and research.
Faculty have use of the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology (CTLT) which is a facility that can help them with basic computer application tranining.
Faculty have use of the Classroom Technology Support Services (CTLT) which is supports equipment in teaching classrooms, laptop checkout, clickers, and distance learning classrooms.
