Steven J. Peters (B.S. '89, M.S. '90) is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Illinois State University. After leaving ISU, Steve obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Indiana University and then pursued a Camille and Henry Dreyfus Post-doctoral Fellowship at ISU with mentor Cheryl Stevenson. After successfully balancing the teaching and research associated with that Fellowship, Steve began as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at California State University-Sacramento. Steve returned to ISU to accept his current post in 2005. Steve has felt that his ISU education prepared him well for his current endeavors.
