34 hours required in Chemistry, 19 hours in Biological Sciences and 1 hour in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology
Required courses:
- General Chemistry I* & II*, Fundamentals of Analytical Chemistry*, Organic Chemistry I* & II*, Instrumental Analysis*, General Biochemistry I & II, Biochemistry Laboratory, Physical Chemistry I*
- General Biology I* & II*, Cell Biology, Genetics, Laboratory in Molecular and Cell Biology, Molecular Biology
- Biochemistry/Molecular Biology Seminar
- 1 year of calculus and 1 year of physics must be completed prior to enrolling in Physical Chemistry
- 3 years of high school or 1 year of college-level foreign language
- Minimum of 45 General Education Electives: 6 h Inner Core for any two of science requirements, 3 h Inner Core for math and 3h Middle Core for quantitative analysis are included in BMB Core

3. Honors in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology
Additional requirements include:
- participation in the University Honors Program,
- a cumulative grade point of 3.3, as well as a 3.5 average in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology,
- Calculus III (4), Engineering Physics I and II (2 x 4), Honors Research in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (2), Senior Seminar in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (1), Senior Thesis in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (1), one of the following: a computer programming course, Molecular Dynamics or Computational Chemistry.
