Honors in Chemistry
Admission requirements include:
- participation in the University Honors Program,
- completion of at least 30 h of college-level courses, including two courses in Chemistry
- a cumulative grade point of 3.3,
- admission to the Departmental Honors Program via the Chemistry chairperson or Honors Advisor
In addition, the student must complete:
- all regular requirements for the Chemistry major including PHY 110 and 111,
- 5 h of CHE 290 and/or 299 (3 h must be CHE 299)
- all requirements for the ACS certified degree,
- MAT 147, ITK 16, 168 or e h in non-CHE SMT courses numbered 200-or higher level,
- a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or greater at graduation, as well as a Chemistry GPA of 3.50, and
- the general requirements for participation in the University Honors Program, three semesters in the University Honors Program and the good standing criteria for the University Honors Program at the time of graduation.
